With joy and gratitude to God, we are now able to reopen our churches for Masses. We thank you for your support and prayers for the Ohana at Sts. Peter and Paul, especially for the most vulnerable.
If you are a kupuna, have a preexisting health condition, and/or feel uncomfortable, please know that Bishop Silva has extended the dispensation from Sunday obligation. Please be safe and stay at home. You can follow our Sunday Mass live-streamed at 9 AM
To remain in compliance with the re-opening guidelines of our Bishop, Larry Silva, our Parish Masses will be limited to 25% capacity (during this first phase).
Because it is impossible to accommodate all of our parishioners for Sunday Masses with this capacity limit, we are asking parishioners to
reserve their seat online before each weekend. If you are unable to access the internet to reserve your seat, please contact our parish office to assist you by calling (808) 941-0675. Seat reservations are required to enter the Church for Mass this weekend and are on a
First Come-First Reserved basis.
Reservations to weekend Masses will open the prior Wednesday thru Friday. You may reserve seats for your entire family. If you reserve a seat and need to cancel, please contact our parish office (808) 941-0675 or
[email protected].
A Few Things to Know Before You Go:
For those attending Mass, the following guidelines are to be strictly followed:
Registration is Required for Saturday Vigil & all Sunday Masses
Check-in time begins 30 minutes before Mass (i.e. if you signed up for 9 AM Sunday Mass, please arrive at church no earlier than 8:30 AM and no later than 8:50)
Remember to practice social distancing while waiting to enter the Church
All Mass attendees will be seated by an usher. Keep in mind you will not necessarily be seated in your usual seating area.
Before You Arrive
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Bring hand sanitizer. Please do not bring anything with bleach as this will damage our pews.
Face coverings are required (must cover nose and mouth) for all persons age 10 and up.
Bring your picture ID.
Print your online reservation confirmation ticket or have it ready to show from your mobile phone. If you reserved by phone, info will be checked at check-in table.
When You Arrive
Follow parking instructions by church attendants
If someone arrives without having a reserved seat, they will be asked to stand in a stand-by line or remain in their vehicles until called. If there is extra seating, they will be granted entrance and any empty reserved seats will be forfeited.
There will be (2) Designated Entries to the church:
The Front door (Kaheka St- Makai side)
The garage door
Please note: A parish attendant will check you in with your reservation ticket. An usher will seat you in pews marked for social distancing. Follow usher’s instructions. Once seated, do not move to another seat.
Mass Departure
Ushers will direct you to exit
At the end of Mass, please keep social distancing as you exit the church.
Please do not remain in the church once you have been directed to exit
Go directly to your cars.
Please note: No socializing in the courtyard or around your vehicle. Please drive off the church property immediately to allow us time to prepare for the next mass.
Church Cleaning Procedures
Parish staff will continue to implement cleanliness and sanitization practices throughout the church, including cleaning pews immediately between Masses.
Restrooms, door handles, and other frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected throughout the day.
All parish staff, ministers, ushers and volunteers assisting at church will be trained on proper hygiene and safety protocols before serving.
A full list of our Procedures and Protocols can be found on ourparish website.
These guidelines are part of the first phase of our parish reopening and will have
many new protocols that all parishioners
must follow to attend Mass. The re-opening guidelines and procedures for Sts. Peter and Paul, are in compliance with the Hawaii’s re-opening regulation mandate as well as in compliance with Bishop Larry Silva’s requests, and will be re-evaluated weekly by our parish staff.
Our Re-Opening Directives are items that should be followed by all attending for the safe celebration of Mass.
We thank you for your patience, prayers and compliance.
As we come together to worship our Heavenly Father and celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit as promised by our Lord, let us rejoice with jubilant cheer!
Come, Holy Ghost, Creator blest, and in our hearts take up thy rest; Come with thy grace and heavenly aid, to fill the hearts which thou hast made.
