Greetings from the Pastor

Twenty-Third Sunday In Ordinary Time:
Keeping Every Law

Today we gather to celebrate the Mass for the Labor Day weekend. The Church has always been interested in the working people and how they are cared for. With interest like this the Church has always been interested in the needs of its people.

Here at Sts. Peter and Paul Church we have studied the Labor Encyclical; “Rerum Novarum and Quadragesimum Anno.” Two encyclicals written forty years apart but the church never ended in its concern for the working class.

Over the years the parishioners of the Catholic Church were glad of the Church’s interest. When the church took an interest of the well- being of the members, it was uppermost in is mind.

We like the Labor day holiday because it puts an end to the summer season. Yes we will have some days off over the next two months.

In the days and weeks to come, a lot of things will happen and we will keep you up to date on what you will need to know.

One of the major concerns is the work which will be done on the Church. You may have noticed the new pictures of possible stained glass windows. We had them made up awhile ago and now that they are framed, we wanted to show them off.

Please look them over and make your comments, they are very important to us. I never forget that your input is important so don’t hold back.

Continue your good work as parishioners. I want you to be happy parishioners, so what you say counts!
